bahhhh, hahhhh, hahhhhhh! Only at online church could this happen, LOL!!
I attended Newspring's online campus this weekend and witnessed a "funny". On one half of the screen the video of the sermon is showing and on the other half is a chat room if you chose to enter. Anyway, one person noticed that the sermon and the chat didn't correlate so he asked what he needed to do to get caught up with the chat. One of the technical support guys typed out in response "hit ur FN 5 button" while another less techinical person simply said "hit REFRESH"........the person that posted the original question replied to the tech. support guy "I thought for a minute you were cussing at me!"
LOL!!!

go ahead...blog....it can make a world of difference
blog is a funny word but it sure has an impact. I read a blog just a few days ago posted by a fellow church member that tore my heart up but at the same time showed me what it really means to Hold On To Your Fork even through the rough times because we might not know why God does the things He does, but He knows and that's what we hold on to.....

where's the doorknob??
I snapped this @ Hillcrest High School while Brad was getting out of the truck. Not only am I puzzled by no doorhandle, but I'm wonder why bother putting a mat in front of it...unless the doorknob is on the inside & folks need to wipe their feet before stepping on the sidewalk (hee, hee cracking up here!!)

still laughing from yesterday...
(this will only make sense if you know Perry Noble)
After Perry broke out a story about meeting Jeff Foxworthy years ago, one of my friends from Illinois that was in the webcampus chat room wrote:
"You might be a Redneck if Perry Noble leads you to Christ..."
ROTFL.....but like I say, it won't make a lick of sense unless you know him and if you want a taste of what I'm talking about, just type the words HOLD ON TO YOUR FORK in the YOUTUBE search bar and it will bring up a 4 minute funny or use this link:

My Name is TAMMY and I'm Addicted to NewSpring (group greeting of "Hello Tammy" follows)
What a day! What a day a year ago! A year ago today I set foot in NewSpring Church and have been going back ever since.
Last year at this time, I was running from God but over this past year I have created a relationship with Him and want the same thing for others. There is a difference in acknowleding God vs. having a relationship with Him. I could sit here all day and try to explain but I'm not.....it's something that folks have to learn on their own.
In a nutshell, if I had to say something I'd let it be this:
"God is God, not just on Sundays"
I could go on and on about my church too, but I'm not. It's something that folks have to learn on their own.
In a nutshell, if I had to say something I'd let it be this:
"NewSpring is a church for folks that think perfect people join church but they don't feel perfect enough to go.....those are the people we *want* to come to church. Heck we don't want *perfect* people, we want broken souls that want to know Jesus!"
Gotta go........got a piece of Publix cake to eat :)

my day in court
I recently got a speeding ticket and had to go to court for the first time. Normally I would have just paid the ticket ahead of time to avoid having to go to court but I also got a ticket that was $230 for not having my license on me. (I had taken my wallet out of my purse and laid it on the table and didn't realize it). Needless to say, I went to court in hopes of getting that one dropped seeing as I truly do have a valid DL, I just didn't have it with me.
My point in blogging isn't about my story of the tickets. My blog is the wake-up call I got by going into court and seeing the variety of people there. There was every one from "the girl next door" to "the b****h down the street" just by looks alone. There was even an inmate wearing orange. That scared me a little. I have no idea what he was there for but just seeing the orange sent a signal to my brain as "bad news" but that's my point in blogging. See, every person in that court room was there for a reason.....we all had broken the law some way or another. I could have been wearing orange if the truth be known b/c I technically broke a law just like that dude did.
anyway, back to the point. My point is we can't always look at a person and tell what is in their heart. I've learned over the past to become more open minded about folks and try not to sterotype people. We all come in different colors, shapes, and sizes but most of us all want the same things out of life.
Ok, I'm getting off track again. Back to the main idea now......I was a criminal and I was with a room full of other criminals....literally, if given a title, "criminal" would fit the bill. I paid my fine and the driver's license ticket got dropped so now I'm back to being a "good standing citizen" instead of a law-breaker.
I still haven't gotten to the good part/bad part yet (hey cut me some slack...I have A.D.D. and typing alone is a challange...LOL). The bad part is once we get to Heaven, we are going to look around and say "oh snap! there's that person I thought was the girl next door AND the one that I thought was the b***h down the street!". The good news is, why wait until we get to Heaven to see what folks are all about?? You don't know a person until you know where their heart is and hopefully that person has Jesus in their heart. If they don't, that doesn't make them a bad person, it just means they are missing out on sooooo much here on earth and well, that they are going to have a very hot eternal life....
